Your free scan history and preferences stay on this device. No email or named profile is required unless you upgrade to Pro.

1. Who we are

FoodScan (the "App") is operated by FoodScan, a sole proprietorship of Stefano Chiovetta. Stefano Chiovetta is the data controller for the personal data processed through this app. Contact: sciatu.produzioni@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect

You can use the Free plan without an account. Your scan history and preferences stay on your device. Label photos are sent securely for analysis and are not added to a guest account. If you upgrade, we collect account data (email and name). We also process limited technical data needed for security, ads, and app stability.

3. Why we use it

To provide label analysis, keep guest history on your device, personalise results, enforce free-use limits, manage optional Pro accounts, show consent-based ads, and keep the app secure.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your data. We use trusted processors (cloud hosting, authentication, AI analysis) bound by contract to handle data only on our behalf.

5. Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time from Settings or by writing to sciatu.produzioni@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

6. Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, scans and personal data are removed within 30 days, except where law requires longer retention.
